Residence Security Alarm Systems
Code

You can find a few various codes that can be utilised using the unit. A user code will let anybody using it to arm and disarm the panel. A master code does that and also permits the master code user to change the user code. An installer code will let the installer to reprogram the panel.

Keypad

This is the input device for the system. The user will input their code into the keypad to turn the device on and off. The installer uses the keypad to program the device. Some keypads can also be utilised by the user to turn various parts with the system on and off, if it's a zoned or partitioned design.

Monitoring

This is the method by which a monitoring organization is notified of a breach. Mobile phone monitoring is the standard. Cellular monitoring, VoIP monitoring and radio monitoring are other procedures. Any one or even a combination of procedures can be programmed into the system.

Zone

Many residential units are zoned designs. Zones divide various sections with the alarmed location, and are typically grouped by room.

Away Arming

The user will away arm the system whenever leaving the property. This turns on all zones with the unit.

Remain Arming

Remain arming will turn on only the perimeter devices of a system, to ensure a user who is within the perimeter is secure within it, and the system will alert the user if the perimeter is breached.

Handshake

When the device is activated by a security breach, the cellphone line is seized by the panel and automatically dials out to the security monitoring service and sends a special signal, referred to as a handshake, which alerts the monitoring service.

Partition

When you'll find various areas of a property that is going to be alarmed, such as the home and a separate workshop building, and there is only one cellphone line, the unit is installed with separate partitions to ensure each location can be turned on and off separately from the other.

Line Seizure

When there is a breach, the unit will seize the cellphone line and make it unavailable for any other use. It is referred to as line seizure.

Panel

This is the "brains" of any home security system, and is going to be installed in a place which is only accessible from the inside with the home, typically in a basement or even a closet. Communication using the panel is via the keypad.
